Course Title: First Aid at Work

Duration: Three days

Who Is Course Designed For: 

This course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed to become a confident first aider at work, giving you both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training. It is OfQual-accredited and successful candidates will receive a First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Course Content: 

• Bleeding (minor and severe)

• Burns

• Casualty movement 

• Choking (adult) 

• CPR (adult) 

• Fainting 

• Primary survey 

• Seizures (adult) 

• Shock 

• Unconscious casualty 

• Allergic reaction 

• Asthma 

• Bone, muscle and joint injuries 

• Chest pains (including heart attack) 

• Eye injuries 

• Head injuries 

• Low blood sugar 

• Poisons 

• Spinal injuries 

• Sprains and strains 

• Stroke

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 - in the event of injury or sudden illness, failure to provide first aid could result in a casualty's death.  The employer should ensure that an employee who is injured or taken ill at work receives immediate attention.
