​A successful and long-established principal contractor are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work out of their offices in Barking on a permanent basis working on residential, commercial and educational projects ranging from £500,000 – £20 million.

As the Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the effective sourcing, negotiation, assessment and management of sub-contract work, reviewing and reporting on cost estimates and plans including preliminaries, sub-contract & material costs. You will take responsibility for the authorisation sub contract payments (including interim applications) and final accounts as well as agreeing variation values. You will also be responsible for undertaking small scale estimating.

You should be degree qualified or similarly hold a HNC or equivalent and should have a few years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the new build residential, commercial and educational sector.

Salary

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum
