Our client is an award-winning country Inn & Restaurant, set in the beautiful Norfolk countryside not far from Hunstanton. Due to their increasing growth and development, they are seeking to employ a Sous Chef.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team within a great environment. You will be part of a growing group of chefs, where exciting opportunities will arise, training opportunities offered to move up to Senior positions.
Working Hours
Hours will be either 10am - 3pm and 6pm to 9pm or if preferred can work a 12pm to 9pm shift.
Salary
£13 - £20 per hour, depending on experience
Assisting the Head Chef with menus and dishes
Supporting and helping implement the day to day running of the kitchen
Must have a good level of food preparation knowledge and culinary skills
Excellent presentation skills with a good focus on attention to detail
Positive attitude and able to keep clam under pressure and stressful situations
Great work ethics, ensuring punctuality and dependence.
Be able to step up to Head Chef when required to do so
Have a good understanding of stocktakes and GP%
Can assist with rotas, training, and management
Adhere to and maintain Health & Safety, EHO and HACCP standards & procedures
Have a good understanding of the working operations of a venue
Supervises and guides the kitchen team, taking a lead role to training junior chefs in the kitchen
