​Our client is an award-winning country Inn & Restaurant, set in the beautiful Norfolk countryside not far from Hunstanton. Due to their increasing growth and development, they are seeking to employ a Sous Chef.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team within a great environment. You will be part of a growing group of chefs, where exciting opportunities will arise, training opportunities offered to move up to Senior positions.

Working Hours

Hours will be either 10am - 3pm and 6pm to 9pm or if preferred can work a 12pm to 9pm shift.

Salary

£13 - £20 per hour, depending on experience

Duties To Include

• Assisting the Head Chef with menus and dishes

• Supporting and helping implement the day to day running of the kitchen

• Must have a good level of food preparation knowledge and culinary skills

• Excellent presentation skills with a good focus on attention to detail

• Positive attitude and able to keep clam under pressure and stressful situations

• Great work ethics, ensuring punctuality and dependence.

• Be able to step up to Head Chef when required to do so

• Have a good understanding of stocktakes and GP%

• Can assist with rotas, training, and management

• Adhere to and maintain Health & Safety, EHO and HACCP standards & procedures

• Have a good understanding of the working operations of a venue

• Supervises and guides the kitchen team, taking a lead role to training junior chefs in the kitchen
