​Our client a highly professional Mechanical & Electrical manufacturer based in Telford.

They are looking to add an Estimator to their growing team.

You will be...

• Successfully obtaining the tender price from suppliers, wholesalers and subcontractors

• Visiting sites liaising with customers and interpreting drawings to clarify what is required and assist in establishing the best cost effective solution

• Ensuring that the build up to the tender submission and all supporting documents are maintained in a logical and sequential manner

• Demonstrating an ability to develop options which differentiates their tender from the competition

•  Developing and maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally

• Liaising internally to determine who are most favourable companies to approach for prices and performance

Previous skills...

• Able to measure quantities from drawings

• Undertake technical appraisals

• Good understanding of tender process and systems

• Demonstrable ability to analyse drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, product, cost and labour estimates

• Ability to present information in a coherent and appropriate manner to senior managers

• Qualified to HNC / ONC in an Engineering discipline or appropriate relevant experience

Person Specification

• Able to demonstrate good communication and negotiating skills

• Varied experience of installation methods

• Able to demonstrate a collaborative and team based approach to the role

• Able to work to and achieve strict deadlines

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
