​​We are recruiting for one of our main Decent Homes Contractors who have been trading for over 20 years, specialising in decent home refurbishments, roofing & frameworks. They are looking for a Junior Estimator, who is looking to kick start their career in estimating, if this role interests you, please apply below.

The Junior Estimator will report to the Estimating Manager. You will be responsible for preparing tender packages and get a thorough understanding of Clark Construction Management’s tendering standards.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

• Prepares and coordinates quantity take-offs with supervision

• Communicates with sub-trades and suppliers to ensure understanding of scope of work

• Prepare sub-trade tender packages

• Assist with the development of the estimate

• Communicates with sub-trades for understanding of scope of work

• Ability to check and verify one's own quantities using other sources

Education & Experience Requirements

• Construction diploma / degree

• 1 year experience (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Blue-print reading

• Basic understanding of standard method of measurement

• Basic understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting and consulting

• Basic trade / product knowledge

• Technology savvy in Excel

• Mathematically inclined

• Attention to detail

• Time management

• Ability to prioritise

• Good communication skills

• Research abilities - general / pricing

• Ability to work within a team

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
