​​Our client is a leading and established manufacturer based in Thetford, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Purchasing Manager.

Working Hours

8am – 5pm or 8:30am -5:30, with the option of leaving early on a Friday at 3pm

Duties To Include

• To deliver an effective procurement strategy in conjunction with the business needs

• Building and managing relationships with suppliers

• Liaising closely with various stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure the availability and timeliness of materials for production across the sites

• Head up the Supply Chain team to continually drive process and procedural improvements in the daily work.

• Agreeing Standard Costs and report on Standard Cost Variances

• Identify and manage current stock to reduce actual spend and prevent duplication of purchases. Consolidation of materials for use with current components to create agreed finished good packs
