Job Profile

The Technical Design Manager will oversee the internal and external design department. Although reporting directly into the Projects Director, you will also work closely with the Production Director and Managing Director to provide design and technical support to the current and future projects.

Main Duties

• Providing design input at the pre-construction stage of projects with regards to specification options and technical support

• Manage the workflow of projects into the design stage and allocating work to internal and external designers

• Ensure design work is completed in accordance with project programme

• Responsible for ensuring that the design process meets all legislation, standards and codes of practice as required

• Attend project handovers and any relevant client/architect meetings as required

Person Specification

They are looking for someone who has previous experience as a Design Manager working on façade construction projects. You will need to have a professional qualification that is relevant to the role (NVQ / HNC or Degree) and have experience with 2D CAD files and BIM files.

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
