Course Description

Who Is This Course Designed For: 

This course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed to become a confident first aider at work, giving you both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training. It is accredited and successful candidates will receive a First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Course Content: 

  1. Bleeding (minor and severe)
  2. Burns
  3. Casualty movement 
  4. Choking (adult) 
  5. CPR (adult) 
  6. Fainting 
  7. Primary survey 
  8. Seizures (adult) 
  9. Shock 
  10. Unconscious casualty
  11. Allergic reaction 
  12. Asthma 
  13. Bone, muscle and joint injuries 
  14. Chest pains (including heart attack) 
  15. Eye injuries 
  16. Head injuries 
  17. Low blood sugar 
  18. Poisons 
  19. Spinal injuries 
  20. Sprains and strains 
  21. Stroke


The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 - in the event of injury or sudden illness, failure to provide first aid could result in a casualty's death.  The employer should ensure that an employee who is injured or taken ill at work receives immediate attention.
