We are currently recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Hygiene Team Leader to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Witham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced production environment.
As the Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all production areas, leading a small team of Hygiene Operatives, and ensuring full compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Hygiene Operatives during the night shift 
- Carry out high-level cleaning and disinfection of all production areas, including production lines and associated equipment 
- Ensure all cleaning is completed to site and customer standards, following detailed cleaning instruction cards 
- Manage chemical and consumable stock, including ordering and safe handling in line with COSHH requirements 
- Maintain accurate cleaning records and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times 
- Work collaboratively with production and management teams to identify and resolve hygiene-related issues 
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience overseeing hygiene operations within a food manufacturing or similar production environment 
- Strong understanding of hygiene processes, COSHH regulations, and Health & Safety requirements 
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow and implement cleaning schedules 
- Good communication and leadership skills 
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
- Basic education level with the ability to read and understand written instructions
